What should I wear to my session? It is one of the most frequently asked questions I get after a senior books their senior photo session with me. If you're staring at your closet wondering what to wear, you aren't alone.

And I am here to tell you, there is no right answer to this question and it really is up to you! Above all, I want you to feel as comfortable and confident as possible during your session, wearing what you feel your best in. But, I'm here to provide some suggestions and recommendations to ease your decision-making process.

Keep an eye on the weather, some fall sessions can get pretty chilly so I always recommend bringing a jacket to throw on between shots.

What Not To Wear

When it comes to what not to wear, I suggest avoiding large logos on clothing, distracting or super bright patterns, and sweatpants/hoodies. While you don't need to go overboard, aiming for a slightly dressed-up look is ideal, you will be looking back on these photos for a long time. Other than that, there isn't much else I would recommend avoiding.

What To Wear (Girls)

If you need help deciding what to wear, I can offer some inspiration. My Senior Photo Package comes with an outfit change so, a lot of seniors will opt for one more dressed up look and one more casual (still nice) look.

Many seniors choose one dress or skirt look and one look with jeans a nice top or sweater. But it is up to you!

Long Dress

I personally love the look of a long flowy dress if that's your style - it it adds captivating movement to your photos and is a super elevated look, perfect for a photo shoot.

White Dress

Another popular option for seniors is a simple white dress. It is a timeless look that will give your photos a light and bright feeling to them. You can't go wrong with a cute white dress!

Keep it Casual

If dresses aren't your thing or you want to go for a more casual look in addition to a dress or skirt, I love the look of basic jeans and either a fun top or just a plain solid colored top or sweater if it's the fall.

Get Creative

This shoot is all for you! Get creative with your style and wear something you really love. I always enjoy seeing what each senior comes up with. Long skirts, dresses, overalls, rompers, I've seen it all... and they're all super cute!

What To Wear (Boys)

Most boys opt for a button-down shirt, either buttoned up or unbuttoned with a shirt layered underneath for a more casual look. Flannels are also a popular choice, as well as quarter zip sweaters/sweatshirts which I love the look of.

Casual LOok

Boys can also opt for a more casual look, any solid colored shirt will look nice and clean in your senior photos.
